Publish your blog with Amazon.com on the Kindle reading device! Just follow the step-by-step tutorial below, and in about 15 minutes your blog will be published.
Go to Kindle Publishing for Blogs.
Click on Create a new account.
Follow the directions to set up a vendor account by entering some basic. Enter your name, email, and password. Then select and enter answers for three security questions. Then click Create Account.
You’re now on the Kindle Publishing for Blogs Dashboard. Under Your Account in the upper right navbar, select Account Information. Enter your address, business information, tax number (or social security numbers), and phone number. (Use 1 for the US country code and make sure you only use numbers, no dashes or dots in the phone number. Who knew entering a phone number could be so complicated?)
Next, you’ll enter payment information. This is so they can pay you, not the other way around! (Note that there is no fee for electronic deposit, but an $8 to have them cut you a check and mail it.)
Click on Save Changes.
Click on Your Blogs in the upper right navbar.
Click the + Add Blog link on the right side, just above the welcome box.
Enter the RSS feed URL for your blog in the RSS/Atom Feed Address field. Click on Validate Feed and wait for the confirmation under the field. Fill out the rest of the form. Read the Terms and Conditions and then click on the check box (assuming that you agree, of course).
Click on Publish Blog to Kindle. (I had to click on Save and then recheck the box before this button was available.)
Your blog will become available in 48–72 hours. Start your engines!

Pubuda, Karen, please let me know what results you get with this! I registered two blogs and they are both still “pending approval.” So the process isn’t terribly quick yet.
I’m trying to figure out the model behind this that has people paying for a subscription that they could just read free online. But as I’m learning how things work, it seems like it will be good for exposure and traffic, even if they don’t choose to buy a subscription.

I think we will see many of the print magazines, newspapers, and other traditional subscription news services head in the direction of Kindle’s revenue model. The New York Times recently announced it will begin charging a subscription fee to access it’s online content. I’ve opted not to add my blog to Kindle because of the subscription fee they would force readers to pay to read my blog. I’ll check back in 6 months to see how well this model is working for bloggers.

It all seems like a great idea, however when I registered my account I found that the kindle does not allow South Africans to register. The only countries available on the drop down menu is US and UK. Unless I have missed a specific piece of information, kindle remains a pointless utility to me.
Your advice however was well received. To the point and easy to follow, thank you for the clarity.
