Blog Post Promotion: The Ultimate Guide

by Alison Moore Smith on March 6, 2011

Blog Post PromotionWriting is not enough. If no one reads your posts, you’d have been better off napping! If anyone can help you bring in the readers, Kristi Hines can.

Kristi has a new ebook to get your words to the people who need them. The Ultimate Blog Post Promotion Guide is now available. If you’re looking to take your blog to the next level, Kristi is an actual expert in a world (wide web) of posers.

There’s a circularity in blog blogging. You know, the guy who makes his money stuffing envelopes with info about how to stuff envelopes or the guy who got rich writing a book telling you how to get rich writing a book? There are at least as many bloggers trying to make money blogging about blogging — and few of them are really blog experts.

In the vast sea of people telling you how to blog, Kristi Hines is among the very few that I trust. She got an amazing Alexa ranking, she rakes in traffic, she really knows blogging and social media. Really.

And now she’s written a book jam-packed with what she’s learned about how to promote a blog. As an introductory offer, you can get her book for only $27.

The ebook includes the following chapters:

  1. It All Begins with Great Content
  2. Tracking Your Promotions
  3. Email Marketing
  4. Instant Messaging Promotion
  5. Social Networking Promotion
  6. Social Bookmarking
  7. Blog Commenting
  8. Guest Blogging
  9. Blogger Outreach
  10. Answers Promotion
  11. Related Content Re-purposing
  12. References

If you’re paying attention, you’ll notice she doesn’t have a chapter on the old tried-and-true promotion method, article marketing. Why? Because it’s outdated due to the latest Google algorithm change. And, as a real expert in blog promotion, Kristi is up on what works, today.

Kristi’s blog promotion book is a steal. Get it at the promotional price and get started on bringing in readers.

I am actually feeling the painful impact of Google’s new algorithm. One of my e-store and blog have significantly dropped in PR. I am pretty sure that I need to brush up with the latest blog promotion methods. I look forward to reading Kristi Hines’ book. Thanks :)

Alison Moore Smith March 6, 2011 at 12:33 pm

Oh, Tammy, sorry to hear about this.

I find it disturbing how powerful Google has become. They have us all dancing around doing what they want, only to change the rules of the game midstream.

Hope the book helps you get back where you want to be!

Hi Alison,
As like Tammy, I get painful impact of Google’s new algorithm. My blog traffic dropped dramatically. Moreover, my great blog has been banned by Google. Now, I build new blog. I hope I can increase my blog traffic and get traffic for my new blog soon.
Thank you for inform about the new book. I hope the guides on the book can work on my blogs.

Alison Moore Smith March 8, 2011 at 11:59 pm

DAN, please keep me updated on how you like the book. Kristi really knows her stuff.

When you say “my great log has been banned by Google” do you mean AdSense or do you mean you don’t show up in the SERPS anymore or other???

Alison Moore Smith March 9, 2011 at 12:01 am

kavita, content is the keystone for a blog, to be sure. But I’ve seen very high quality blogs, that don’t get any traffic. That’s a tragedy and Kristi’s book is the solution. :)

Nishadha March 9, 2011 at 12:23 pm

Writing good content is important but promoting them properly is even more important. Its not about getting lots of traffic, its about getting the right kind of traffic

Nishadha, you’re right. Targeted traffic is the real key. My site is about affordable web design for small business. The blog is to support small business site owners, new bloggers, etc.

If the name Win with 1 attracts, say, Charlie Sheen fans (“Duh, WINNING!”), then I’m going to have a really high bounce rate and almost no new customers — even if I draw millions of hits.

Getting the right people to your site is the key.

Thanks so much for the great review Alison! I’m sorry I didn’t find it earlier. The promotional pricing has ended as of Tuesday, but the regular cost is only $10 more and I have been told it’s still a steal at that. :)

C Mohan, thanks for dropping by. To be honest, I not sure I understand your question completely, but it sounds like you’re asking about SEO. Kristi’s guide, discussed in this post, is specifically about how to promote posts so others can find them.

Also please read 10 Steps to Cheap Search Engine Optimization for a solid start in SEO. I highly recommend Market Samurai as my best, constantly used SEO tool. You can get a free trial, too.
