After seeing some very helpful, generous behavior from others, I decided that my “pay it forward” would be to blast out some voting love to as many other bloggers as I could handle. Just a little pat on the back of encouragement. No big deal.
But then, just a few hours ago, I was apprised that my aggressive move to win the contest was being watched. Only problem was, I didn’t know I was competing! I knew Brian was running a year-end contest, but given my late-in-the-year introduction to BlogEngage, I didn’t imagine I could be in the running, so I never bothered to even read the details.
Look, we have six kids, I homeschool, we own three companies, I crank out three blogs (one large group blog and two smaller blogs). Did I mention that it’s Christmas week and we are in the middle of building our dream home? Worrying about the beating out other bloggers just isn’t on the agenda this month…year…decade.
Still, I thought it would be a fun challenge to see if I could vote up enough blog posts to get to the 10,000 mark. Early this morning, it happened.
So come on along everyone! Vote up your friends. It’s nice up here and I don’t want to be alone!

This is crazy Alision, I cannot imagine how long it took you to reach 10,000 votes! I wish our karma was working so you could be updated! All the power to you! looks like you’re going to be the winner for our year end contest for the member who voted the most.

Thanks, Brian. The answer lies in the amount of sleep I average each night. About 4. Not good for overall well-being. Really good for BlogEngage voting!
I do not underestimate the powers of those barely behind me to catch up! I just wanted to break the 10,000 mark first. Make a bit of BE history. Now, back to me real life!

I’ll take a shot at your contest. I have to confess that Alexa baffles me. The data seems flawed to me. But my guess will be flawed as well, so maybe they’ll converge!
