Outsourcing SEO

by Alison Moore Smith on November 16, 2011

Outsourcing SEOMy first web site — one that I hand coded in 1994 on a bit of American Online server space — was a catalog for my homeschool mail order curriculum business. A couple of years later, we bought our first domain.

Who knew that world of virtual real estate would one day be a hot commodity? So hot, in fact, that getting notices in the seas of cyberspace gets harder every single day. Some people saw the potential, but certainly not most of us.

Now, almost every month a client comes to me in frustration, having thought the old movie adage “if you build it they will come,” applied equally to web sites and blogs. They build their sites, tweek them until they shine, and write their heads off. They don’t even use free SEO software to analyze their sites. They just write and wait. And wait. And wait. And no one comments and no one reads. Except maybe mom.

Content is still king in my book. But even great content can’t be appreciated unless it’s found by the right audience. And there’s the rub. Ranking in search engines and being found is tough these days, and it’s only going to get harder as more sites appear.

I’ve written about how you can take on search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) challenges on your own. It’s definitely doable. But if you want to spend your time writing great content, consider looking for a reputable SEO company to take over the marketing side.

Just as you might have outsourced your accounting or shipping or the technical backend work (like I do), you can outsource your blog optimization and marketing or PPC management to someone with real expertise.

In doing so, look for a fair price and a proven track record. All SEO companies are not created equal.

I downloaded the free SEO software from Netpeak. Thanks for the advice. I have outsourced some of my SEO to a company that is not doing very good, so once my contract is up with them, ill check out NetPeak

If one is serious about building a great blog, it would be best to outsource the SEO tasks to a reputable SEO company so one could focus on providing great content consistently. A lot of bloggers fail because they’re doing it the other way around. They tend to focus too much on SEO and forget about quality.

Outsourcing SEO services to India is one such way that helps in making online presence for your. India is one of the most preferred destinations for outsourcing services. India has great reputation in providing outsourcing services in the field of information technology. Companies can get business solutions at a nominal rate from India as compared to the other destinations of outsourcing around the world.

Before I outsource my SEO campaigns, I take into consideration if I can do it myself. I usually do SEO to low competitive keywords. I just can’t find such reputable SEO companies. They got the same work; blasting links which I do not prefer.

Hi
Outsourcing is great of course, but if i’ll tell you that it’s hard to find SEO company with reasonable prices, i’ll say nothing, because it’s almost impossible. They usually buy links in a bulk and… and that’s all, but you’ll get very impressive colored reports with huge amount of perfomed works and finally you’ll pay for this bulk links by 10-times prices.

I just want to tell, that there is lot of very simple online systems where you easily buy links at decent prices and don’t pay for mystic SEO to anybody.

RE: “Content is still king in my book. But even great content can’t be appreciated unless it’s found by the right audience.”

I think it is the case that once a good quality site has enough SEO work (or, indeed PR) to get noticed, then it will take off on its own accord as it will gain natural links. However, if the SEO work has to continue for too long, then it is worth asking questions if the content is good enough. I think SEO is only a short term strategy, but high quality content the right long term one.

Outsourcing is great way to leverage your SEO efforts. I’ve been doing it for over a year and I’m pleased with the results.

i agree with you that content is still king, and always will be. In regards to outsourcing seo, everyday i get ppl in india and pi contacting me to outsource, but the greatest problem i hear from clients of mine is that they had someone in india (i am half indian so i can talk crap) is that my clients feel they got screwed. Plus i know if my friends found out i outsourced to another country other than americans they would get very upset with me lol
