Glad you’ve been able to get started blogging. I know so many people who want to but can’t get over the learning curve. That’s why I started this new blogs service, to do the technical background stuff so others can just write or sell or whatever they want to do online.

My newest client (just signed on a few hours ago) is an author. She wants to promote her new book and the forthcoming books. She wants to interact with her readers. She does not want to spend her time learning to set up sites! That’s what I’m here for!

And, Keith, if you ever want to get setup with Thesis, just let me know.

I’m new to blogging and setting up the database etc was all a bit daunting.
Cpanel is useful for beginners and there are lots of videos out there.

Hope people listen to your advice… and get blogging!

It’s funny, sometimes, how long it takes an idea to occur. I’ve been blogging for seven years and helping other people out for almost that long. Why did it take till 2009 for me to just make the official offer? I have no idea!

This is such a great idea. One of the things I’ve found with folks nervous about taking up blogging is the set-up process. Which host; what look; what platform, etc. The fact you take all that fear away and offer it as a standalone service – great idea, and one that’s bound to be really popular.

Years ago I owned a mail order education company that offered products to homeschoolers. (I sold it to a Maryland corporation in 1997.) Being a homeschooler, I was intimately familiar with the needs, routines, frustrations, and tastes of the homeschool community. But time and again I saw people who were not homeschoolers — but saw the market potential of a fast growing demographis — try to step in and gain market share. And time and again I saw them flop, because fundamentally they didn’t understand the market they were trying to target.

You, on the other hand, did a great job at assessing the market of bloggers. Even then, I’m guessing that blogging yourself will give you an even better understanding.

Little did I know my blogging would lead the blast off if blog engage. When people started seeing I wasn’t only the owner of blog engage but I was also a bloggers it’s like they automatically accepted me and started using my service.

So I still blog here and there. I do the weekly word challenge and I write a few articles on both my blogs. I never knew I would have gone so in depth with blogging and the blogosphere.

I don’t regret a minute of it. I meet over 1800 people online that know me by name and blog engage is growing so large. It’s been a pleasure blogging and like you I knew little to nothing when I started.

Victor, I am a big proponent of the open source movement. It’s opened up so many possibilities. If you read my blog, you know there are lots of things I think are well worth paying for, but often open source things are even better than the competition!
